Hi, I’m Yami – founder, dancer, and the woman who just wanted to make heels that didn’t hurt.

The love of dance is something that lives in your bones. The joy, the freedom, the confidence that fills you when the music hits just right—there’s nothing else like it. But as much as I loved dancing, one thing always stole that joy: foot pain.

After years of social dancing—especially in the Latin dance scene—I kept hearing the same thing from every woman around me: “These shoes are killing me.”

And I felt it too.

That’s what sparked the idea behind Yami Shoes. I wanted to create a dance shoe that was as beautiful as it was functional—heels that didn’t destroy your feet, but instead supported you through every spin, step, and salsa.

I couldn’t find a solution that felt good and looked good. So, I made one.

After countless prototypes and nights on the dance floor, I created our signature Yami Cushioned Insoles—featuring pillowed support right under the balls of your feet and your heel. These insoles reduce pressure and absorb shock, helping you dance longer with less fatigue, while also protecting your feet from blisters and calluses. That’s the Yami Difference.

But I didn’t stop at comfort.

I wanted our shoes to look amazing, be versatile enough for pros and socials, and be built with quality and durability that keeps up with every dancer's life—from studio to congress to night out.

So I fused my experience as a dancer, designer, and obsessed perfectionist—and poured that energy into every style we launch.
