We're an Aussie mission-driven hat label, led by creatives Loz & Alex. We design & craft quality, timeless headwear from sustainable, regenerative materials using traditional hat making techniques. Our hats are inspired by the past, crafted for todays every-day explorers, while our profits go to planting seeds for tomorrow.

Will & Bear began in 2015 with a simple idea: to create a practical, good-looking hat that felt natural to wear. Alex (Bear), a first-time hat buyer, was looking for something durable that suited the Australian outdoors — but couldn’t find anything that felt quite right. So, together with Loz (Will), we decided to make our own.

Our first collection was designed for both men and women, focusing on timeless shapes and natural materials. We chose 100% Australian wool — not just for its quality and durability, but for its sustainability. We use wool that’s often overlooked by the fashion industry due to minor inconsistencies in texture or colour. Rather than letting it go to waste, we turn it into something lasting. The result is a hat that’s both better for the environment and rich in character. That same philosophy still guides every style we make today.

After launching, we knew we wanted the business to give back. We partnered with Trees for the Future to plant ten trees for every hat sold — and to date, we’ve planted over 2 million trees. In a world-first, we now also fund tree-planting right here in Western Australia, helping to regenerate native ecosystems close to home.

We've since expanded our impact work, partnering with organisations around the world and becoming Australia's first B-Corp certified hat company.

What started small has now grown into a global community that shares a love for the outdoors. We’re always excited to see where our hats end up and hope they’ll keep inspiring people to get outside and stay connected to nature.
