In the fall of 2023, fate stepped in when my mom sent me a video on Instagram that changed everything. The original owner of TYME was in tears, sharing the heartbreaking news that she would have to close the company. As I watched, I couldn’t shake the feeling that this wasn’t the end of TYME. It was just the beginning of something new.

An idea sparked in my mind, one that I immediately pitched to my husband. Together, we own The Lauren Ashtyn Collection, a company we built over the past decade to help women struggling with hair loss or fine, thinning hair. Our business has grown into a global brand, helping thousands of women each year through our 30+ pop-up salons across the U.S., our flagship salon in Spartanburg, SC, and our free online consultations that allow us to ship our custom-designed hairpieces worldwide.

I saw a huge opportunity, not just to save TYME, but to redefine and elevate it. I knew that with our expertise in the beauty industry, our deep understanding of what women need, and our passion for creating game-changing hair solutions, we could take TYME to new heights. My husband agreed, and we reached out to the owners of TYME to see if there was a way to save and purchase the company.

Over the course of a few months, everything fell into place perfectly, and we officially closed on the purchase of TYME. From that moment on, I fully immersed myself as a stylist, taking an entire year to redesign and develop two new curling irons, the TYME X2 Curling Iron and the TYME 1.25" Curling Iron. My goal? To take the innovation that made TYME special and perfect it with my stylist-driven expertise.

TYME is now entering a new era, one focused on delivering exceptional styling tools backed by real-world experience in the salon and beyond. We are honored to continue the legacy of TYME while evolving it into something even greater for the modern woman.
