Born and raised in New Orleans, Rahya’s roots are steeped in creativity and hands-on making. Her childhood was filled with art, ideas, and the hum of a household that believed in making things from scratch — thanks to a mom who designed buildings and a dad who could build just about anything.
She found her creative voice early on at NOCCA, New Orleans Center for Creative Arts, surrounded by other young artists who knew how to dream big and get their hands dirty. She honed her skills as a bench jeweler and earned her BFA in Metals and Jewelry from SCAD, Savannah College of Art and Design.
Rahya currently lives in New Orleans and designs in her home studio.
