All of the hemp for our CBD products is grown organically and sustainably right on our Solar Powered Farm in Southwest Colorado. We take pride in taking care of our soil and water. Our handcrafted methods preserve the quality of the delicate and powerful cannabinoids and essential oil compounds within our hemp plants. We are very grateful that our farm is Solar Powered. Each kilowatt-hour (kWh) of solar that is generated substantially reduces greenhouse gas emissions like CO2, as well as other dangerous pollutants such as sulfur oxides, nitrogen oxides, and particulate matter. Solar also reduces water consumption and withdrawal.

We are incredibly thankful for the support of our local community over the last 5 years. Our local farmers markets have been a wonderful opportunity for us to connect with the locals and tourists visiting our beautiful region. Growing hemp has been a way for us to take care of the land as hemp is a very sustainable crop to grow. Hemp requires less water than traditional crops and it is pest resistant which is a wonderful asset on an organic farm. While not organic certified, we farm like we are and even take it a step further by practicing regenerative agriculture.

If you have ever gardened before you know how satisfying freshly tilled soil can look. But is this the right way to prep your soil before planting? The short answer is no. Tilling the soil year after year kills the life in the soil. Microorganisms that are vital for healthy plant life are destroyed with tillage. Soil can become more compact over time and water run off is exponentially worse too. By practicing no till methods on our farm we promote healthy soil life and have seen the benefits firsthand in our hemp crop.

We, the founders of Kind Hemp Farms, are a husband and wife team. We are the primary farmers and producers of everything on the farm. Keeping all of the work in house has helped to maintain quality control and ensure everything meets our expectations. Eliminating the work of outsourcing has helped to keep costs low and pass that savings directly to the customer.
